19th January 2012: Phantom copies arrive!

Today, the first copies of the new Harry Hole thriller, Phantom, arrived in the Harvill Secker UK offices! Phantom will be published on March 15th - make sure you pre-order your copy so you're the first to find out what's next for Harry.

12th January 2012: Headhunters film success

The film of Jo Nesbo's thriller, Headhunters, helped Norwegian cinema make a killing in 2011, with ticket sales hitting a record high and local films accounting for a 24.5 per cent market share. Morten Tyldum's Headhunters has sold 557,000 tickets in tiny Norway (a population of just 5 million) for a box office take of around $10 million. Jo Nesbo will pick the winning tweet in Oslo tomorrow and sign the special advance copy of Phantom - and we'll announce the winner on Friday morning! 18th November 2011: Exciting Film News!

Martin Scorsese is set to direct the film of Jo Nesbo's bestselling novel The Snowman. Many production companies had approached the author about the film rights, but he wanted to wait for his favourite director. Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner of Working Title films will produce, with Jo Nesbo and his agent Niclas Salomonsson as20executive producers. Michael Carnahan will write the screenplay.
